Three months ago, it was announced that the local Kalawang Forest will be cleared away to make space for the construction of the new Kalawang Resort. Since the land is near a swamp, the government hopes it can be a new attraction to upgrade and create a unique resort and tourist attraction using a swampy location. The new attraction will include a four story grande leisure resort with the foresting nature providing a beautiful backdrop.
With ABC Company, a construction and design company known for their magnificent and versatile architectural designs will be in charge of this project. Despite the sad end to the decades old Kalawang Forest, it could be a start to something new. Despite 3/4 of the forest to be cleared away, the Singapore Government of Infrastructure hopes that nature and advancement of city life can co-exist.
